The Scarlet UmbrellaThey say that time can heal all, but , sometimes the pain is so unbearable its hard to believe that. When it first happened to me, I was in so much pain, I had to block it out just to survive. Then, when I started to remember, I felt so alone. The world seemed so empty as if I was the only one with a large scarlet umbrella trying to keep the rain off me and I was in a sea of darkness. I hurt and I felt no one could ever understand me or know because then I would be marked. But, then, I looked around and saw that all these dark umbrellas were being held up to hold off the rain too. They also were hurt. Even though I felt my pain shined brighter than the rest, it really didnt. I was just one, in a sea of pain.
